Each Christmas, Churchnet encourages churches and individuals to participate in a special offering. Join us in supporting the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) trhough the World Missions Offering.
This issue focuses on a Churchnet delegation in October to visit Baptists in Cuba. The trip represents Churchnet's commitment to partner with the global Baptist family. The Baptists in Cuba join Churchnet as member bodies of the BWA. Through our participation in the BWA and the delegation to Cuba, we live out the biblical teaching that we are united with "one Lord, one faith, one baptism."
As finishing touches went on this issue, President Barack Obama made a surprising announcement about changing relations between the U.S. and Cuba. The shift makes the recent Churchnet delegation seem particularly timely. Just as Pope Frances played a critical role in the significant political change, perhaps Baptists in the two countries can also play important roles in these new times.
