Finally, I learned just how thirsty my soul was for meaningful worship. Because I am usually leading worship in my own congregation, I am required to focus on what happens next. But in Vancouver, no printed bulletin or mental cues. I simply opened my heart and waited. To show up every morning and experience thoughtful, Spirit-led worship was reviving, especially as I looked around a room filled with people of many colors and dialects.

You're never the same after a BWA multi-cultural immersion experience—breakfast with someone from Cameroon, lunch with a another from Norway, and an afternoon seminar led by a pastor from South Asia. The difference between reading about a BWA meeting and attending one is the difference between seeing pictures of the Rocky Mountains and driving in them. It was a beautiful drive! I love being a global Christian.
