Saturday Morning Speaker

Rev. Cornell Sudduth, Sr.

Rev. Cornell Sudduth, Sr., Pastor

of Second Baptist Church of

Jefferson City, spoke during

Saturday morning's worship

session. Here are a few of his

remarks as captured on

Churchnet's Twitter feed:

Connected the theme "Share

Hope: Building a Community of

Peace & Reconciliation" to the

civil rights movement and a

recent NAACP march from

Ferguson to Jefferson City.

We must possess hope because

we can't share what we don't have.

We must not be "so heavenly

minded that we are of no earthly

good."

"God's unfailing love includes

the whole world."

"The people of God must not

lose hope because if we do then

where will the world find hope?"
