Women's Benevolent to Meet

All women of First Church and friends are invited to attend the Women’s Benevolent luncheon and program on Friday October 5, at 11:45 am in Bailey Hall. Our speaker, Charles Casartello,
will share with us the unique way the volunteer group Griffins Friends provides support to children with cancer. Griffins Friends is one of the organizations supported by the proceeds from the Women’s Benevolent Christmas Fair.
Plan to join us for fellowship, good food, and an interesting and informative program. Please bring a salad or dessert to share.

We are kicking off our year with an interesting topic: Opioids.
As we all know there is an opioid epidemic. Let's get together and learn a little more about this subject. Our speaker will be John Gannon, Partner with Skoller, Abbott & Presser. Their firm (which includes our John Glenn) specializes in employment law and John is a frequent speaker on employment related topics. He recently authored an article on opioids and he has agreed to lead a discussion on the topic.
