Environmental Justice Team Film Screening

“An Inconvenient Sequel; Speak Truth to Power”

Thursday, October 26: 5pm at Storrs Library

First Church Environmental Justice team, Storrs Library, and Longmeadow Environmental Transition Group have joined forces to present Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Sequel, the follow-up to Al Gore’s blockbuster 2006 global warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth at Storrs Library on Thursday, October 19. Admission will be free and open to all.

The movie will start at 5pm. From 6:45–7:15pm the audience will participate in a live-streamed private webcast Q&A with Al Gore (only accessible to event participants).

Depending on the size and interest of the audience, there may be time for a second viewing of the film of 7:15pm.

This film’s message is a clear call-to-action. The problem with climate change is getting worse, critical tipping points are approaching, and time is running out. Come, bring a friend, and be inspired to act.

We encourage you to visit First Church's CROP Walk page (https://www.crophungerwalk.org/springfieldma/Team/View/47850/First-Church-of-Christ-in-Longmeadow) to make a donation to support a walker. If you'd like to sign up to walk, please contact Family Ministries Director Marilyn Paul-Lewis for a sponsor envelope.
