Women's Benevolent Tag Sale:

Saturday, September 30: 9am–1pm

The organizers of the Christmas on the Green Fair have had a great time sorting out donated items for the Fair and for our annual Tag Sale. We are excited and delighted with the interesting and varied items donated to date. Thank you to everyone who has made a donation.

The Tag Sale will feature household items, artwork, toys, electronics, and more. We will also have Halloween-related items. Donated funds will be accepted at the event.

All proceeds support the Women's Benevolent Society programming and charitable giving. Come out and join us as a shopper or a volunteer!

Friday Evening Fellowship to Meet October 6

First Church member Peter Santos will be the speaker and the meeting will be hosted by Ellie and Pete at their home at 53 Dunsany Road beginning at 7:30pm. Pete will be sharing a convoluted story that he has been saving up for just the right occasion: "The Day Longmeadow Buried the Polish Joke Book".

FEF is open to all members and friends of First Church.

Heritage Sunday: October 22

The Theme: First Church Firsts – Past, Present & Future

Each year, Heritage Sunday is the Sunday we recognize and honor our 50 year members. This year, we will be celebrating our long list of firsts and looking forward to more of them. We are hoping that our fifty year members might share a memory or two of their first impressions of First Church. Each fifty year member will receive an invitation to attend church on October 22 that will include an index card for a remembrance!

Following the service there will be a Silver Tea sponsored by the Women's Benevolent Society, which is celebrating their 214th year – the oldest such organization in the country.
