A Note from the Youth Director
Since beginning my position as the youth
director at First Church I have had many opportunities to meet with and engage our youth in activities and discussion. In October we were able to come together for an awesome Halloween party where we played Halloween themed games and enjoyed food together. In November we started to meet each Sunday evening with a growing number of participants. We assembled care packages for college students and completed a Christmas fair craft (candy cane sleighs). In December we had a game night and our Annual Christmas Party where we played games, enjoyed pizza and dessert and had a Yankee Swap. I look forward to what the new year brings. Weekly Youth Group Meetings in January
The youth group will meet each Sunday In January (6,13,20,27) in the youth lounge from 5-6:30. Join us – we would love to have you! Weekly emails are sent out with more details on what we will be doing during each meeting. Please check your email for more details. If you are not receiving these emails please contact Christine, to be added to the list.
Sunday, January 6 — Church Without Walls
We will be helping to hand out donations of socks and snack bags at Church Without Walls. We will load up the socks and head to CWW at Court Square in Springfield following the 10 am worship service. Please bring soft chewy granola bars and snack boxes of raisins to donate! See the lower article on page 8 to learn more.
