Monodel

“One of thee” Monodel. With all the hats that you wear, how do you balance ministry and work? Ministry, in terms of singing and laboring in the Gospel as well as your daily work.

I look at it like this; Many people say that we are physical beings with spiritual assets. I think of it the other way around. I believe that I am a spiritual being that need a human vessel to work in.

The Bible says that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Ministry is first, that’s how I look at it. It says Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Therefore, ministry is first, that’s how I look at it, it is who I am, it is what I was made for. So everything else comes after. There’s a song by Jermaine Edwards, that says Jesus First and everything comes after, So that’s basically what I think about when I have to make a decision.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back in 2011, Why did you decide to release an album?
I was comfortable being in Church. At that time, I was praise and worship leader, I was this and that. I was comfortable doing that. I never thought, never in my wildest dream, and I’m being totally honest, that I’ll think of having an album.
I was at Church, this guy he was a manager for this friend of mine and he was like, maybe we should do this, that was in 2007. So I was speaking with him and we never seem to be getting anywhere, so I decided to forget about that and went back to my regular praise and worship.
In 2011, I think about January, the spirit of God said to me why don’t you do it on your own? You’ve been having problems with this guy, why don’t you do it on your own.
I am like but God I don’t have the money, I don’t know what I’m going to do. And the spirit said to
me, I want you to do it and if you.
The thing with God he never forces himself on you but he gives the beautiful gift of choice, where we get to choose whether or not we want to do what he says for us to do.
I realized that I have a gift and God said if you want to do it I will make the provision. Then doors just started opening.
How did the song "I will praise you" came about?
I went to visit another church with a friend of mine and the pastor was preaching and I was sitting there and listening, all of a sudden the this came up and it says "God I will praise you, for you are worthy" and no matter what i'm goin through, no matter what it looks like, even though I decide not to go, you are still God and regardless of how I feel about you, you are still God and it just came and it took no time for the song be completed.
