Spain In Music, we discovered the melodies and dances from that century. First, the students learned the "Sellenger's Round" dance. They also sang the carol "Hoy comamos y bebamos", by the Spanish composer Juan del Enzina. And later, they worked in teams to create and represent a rhythmic accompaniment for that song with different objects such as plates and plastic cups and even chopsticks. Finally, in the English classroom, after comparing current society with 16 th century society through the skill of thought "Compare and Contrast", we studied the great author William Shakespeare, researching his life and his most important works, and we represented an adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet". Thanks to this project, our students have worked with different materials and techniques and they have acquired knowledge about the way of life of a period that was unknown for them. They have discovered some new dishes which, to their surprise, are not so far from those we know nowadays. In addition, they have developed their artistic and creative skills through the elaboration of costumes and they have had the opportunity to enjoy 16th century music and dance from a different perspective. Finally, they have appreciated and valued every single aspect of this project with respect and team spirit, approaching the 16th century in an interesting, interdisciplinary and motivating way, working as a group and taking advantage of what has been learnt in each of the subjects involved.
