Spain Cid and María Pita, brave local heroes, Juan Sebastián Elcano, an intrepid explorer, and Clara Campoamor, defender of the rights of Spanish women. In order to finish this historical fancy dress party, we recorded a video showing our interpretative skills and telling the most important and interesting facts of the lives of these Spanish people. This project has helped us discover our past and we have come to the conclusion that studying our history helps us be aware of the fact that understanding the linkages between past and present is absolutely basic for a good understanding of the condition of being human. That is why history matters. It is useful and essential. A family tree is the most common way of visually documenting one's ancestry. It can help us discover where we come from, and our family history, which is also our own history. The family tree describes our origin and it is something we should have in mind so as not to forget our identity. th The students from 6 Grade of Primary Education worked on their own family tree. It was a motivating activity and allowed them to be creative and curious about their relatives and the way they are linked to each other. Creating a family tree offers students interdisciplinary knowledge: History, Language, Arts & Crafts… They focus their attention on the task and, at the same time, they develop several personal and artistic skills in an entertaining way to be creative and curious about their relatives and the way they are linked to each other.
