Linthorpe Community Primary School Christmas Parents ’ Mailing
It has been a very busy start to the new school year . I would firstly like to thank all parents and staff for their continued support during these unprecedented times . It has definitely been a challenging time for all of us , but together we have worked extremely hard in ensuring our school community stays as safe as possible for the children and staff . Pupils have continued to receive a high standard of teaching and learning whether it be in the classroom or virtually from home . I would also like to say how proud I am of all of our children . They have adjusted to the changes extremely well and have worked so hard since returning in September .
The next few weeks , in the lead up to the Christmas break , are going to be filled with lots of fun activities for the children . I thought that the best way to communicate this information to you would be in the form of a newsletter .
Reindeer Run
We have made arrangements for our Reindeer Run to take place on Friday 11 th December , this year . The run will be in aid of the Teesside Hospice and in return for a £ 2 donation , the children will get a pair of antlers and a red nose to wear whilst they take part . If you would like to make a £ 2 donation , please send your money into school with your child . Don ’ t forget they will need to bring their trainers for the run !
Christmas Jumper Day
We would like to invite your child to get into the spirit of Christmas and wear a festive jumper to school on Friday 11 th December . If you haven ’ t managed to get to the shops this year , a sprig of festive tinsel or a Santa hat will do .
Christmas Lunch
All children that usually stay for school dinner will enjoy a Christmas lunch on Friday 11 th December . Unfortunately , this year , we are unable to provide this to children who usually bring in a packed lunch .
Christmas Gift Shop
As you will be aware , from last week ’ s communication , we will holding a Christmas shop , in school , on Thursday 10 th December and Friday 11 th December . As school have purchased the gifts based on the payments we have already received we cannot accept any late payments .
