namely Vince Gill and Ricky
Skaggs.
“A lot of people ask us who we
would want to sing with,” shares
Denise. “Vince and Ricky are both
often mentioned. They are
phenomenal musicians and
extraordinary voices. We had no
idea it was even a hope and a
prayer for us to collaborate with
them. Andy was the main reason
it actually happened.”
It happened. And the result is
nothing short of amazing. For the
ladies, however, the album
represents so much more than
good music. It represents the joy
of their 20+ year ministry. It
represents the blessing of family
and friendship. Most of all, it
represents three women
continuing to discover God in
fresh ways, new ways and
allowing Him to carry them
through the tough times and
amazing times.
“We’ve been through all the
things that artists go
through,” Shelley says.
“Getting married, having
kids... But at the end of the
day, our desire is to love God
and love people.”
“The bottom line is that life is
good,” Denise says. “We are
celebrating all those moments
that God’s given us. I’m now
watching us as women who are
truly maturing in the Lord. Life is
good because God is good to us.
It’s not always circumstantial; but
even in the tough stuff, we’re
learning how to celebrate and
appreciate life.”
“While this lifestyle can wear on
you—being on the road, juggling
kids and family, at the end of the
day, I know that we’re making a
difference and we have a
purpose,” Leigh concludes. “If we
are loved and have a purpose, life
is so much sweeter.”
Undoubtedly, life is sweet for
these women...these legends.
Hand in hand with a Savior who is
infinitely creative, pros trumps
cons everyday.
