veryone is searching for the meaning of life.
Young and old, rich and poor, all of us precious
souls all moving in different directions, some of us
hurting, some hoping, and others questioning. But all of us
are trying to find peace, truth, hope, and love. The question
is, how many of us truly find any of this?
Do You Believe? is the latest movie from Pureflix, the same
production company that bought us last year’s surprise hit,
God’s Not Dead. And like God’s Not Dead, Do You Believe?

tackles some heavy issues with great sensitivity and grace.
The story of Do You Believe? centers around the lives of a
dozen or so people and how they are each challenged and
inspired by The Cross of Christ - a Pastor and his wife, a
pregnant teenage girl, a gang member and his brother, a
nurse, a paramedic, an ex soldier, a homeless mother and
daughter, a kindly man, a suicidal young woman, a doctor,
and a lawyer. And the movie beautifully shows how each of
these lives are interconnected by the hand of God in one
way or another.

Do You Believe? is made up of a series of seemingly random
vignettes that come together in the end to tell a bigger story
- think Crash, Magnolia, and the like. And while many of
these movies end up being messy, convoluted, and
disjointed affairs, Do You Believe? works well, masterfully
weaving the stories together to create a pretty unique
Christian cinematic experience - this is first time I have seen
this type of movie structure used so well in a Christian film.
In the acting department, Do You Believe? features an all
