Trip Lee is an author and rap/hip hop artist who began his career straight out of high
school. Now a popular name in the Christian hip hop scene, Rise is his fifth studio
release.
Rise is a well produced hip hop album complete with tight beats and notable Hip Hop
hooks - the tracks often include keys, strings, and percussion (there is actually a drum
solo at the end of “You Don’t Know”). And while Trip Lee incorporates some unique
elements into this record, it still stays within the hip hop genre. I personally think that
musically, Rise is Trip Lee’s most mainstream and commercial release yet, but this only serves to further push back barriers between
secular and Christian Hip Hip.
Rise contains Christ-centered, honest, and thoughtfully written lyrics that Trip Lee soulfully raps/sings. The predominant message
behind the verses is that Christians need to rise from their state of spiritual sleep, and live, becoming who God truly wants us to be,
without regard for what others might think of us.
To anyone who is a fan of great hip hop music and spiritually grounded lyrics, Rise is an outstanding release that is nothing less than
“Shweet”!

Love Will Have Its Day is Laura’s second full length release. A mix of singer songwriter,
CCM, Pop, and Worship, this is an eclectic album featuring piano, acoustic and electric
guitars, orchestras, and even some electro. And it works, with all the music styles and
sounds all coming together to create a superb album.
Laura has a beautiful voice and it shines on Love Will Have Its Day. Furthermore, she is a great composer and writer - this album is
