products or make us aware of a new trend in the market. We also enjoy being able to supply our customers with the latest products on the market so they are not disadvantaged to people in the cities. The best thing about our job is engaging with similar minded people that have the same interests as ourselves as well as getting to sample the latest creation from the gelato department. We believe an advantage our customers have is the ability to try a product before they buy due to our bulk bin range. This allows them to be confident in their purchases knowing they will enjoy them when they get home. With our motto being Finest Quality Wholefoods we ensure we are purchasing the best and freshest wholefoods on the market. Our customers can be assured that we purchase only the highest grade of products available. We constantly turn our product over extremely quickly so our customers can be confident of the freshest quality. We need to know that when our customers leave our store they are going to be satisfied with the products they have purchased. We would hate to think that anyone has not enjoyed any of our wonderful products. Our spices in particular are extremely fresh and high quality and significantly cheaper than the supermarkets. Another advantage we find our customers enjoy is being able to bring a new recipe with them in store and then weigh the exact quantities they require allowing them to have no leftover ingredients sitting in the cupboard that they may not use again. This is very popular at Christmas time when it comes to baking all those lovely home made Christmas Puddings and Christmas Cakes. Our philosophy is to support our local farmers as much as possible and we are fortunate to be in such a diversified farming area. If we are unable to source locally we then prioritise for Australian product and only after exhausting those avenues we use imported products. We introduced Gelati into our business in 2011 after visiting a trade show in Melbourne. We were so impressed with the quality we knew we had to include it in our business. We were the first business to bring Gelati to Bundaberg and our customers instantly fell in love with the incredible flavours and now share our passion for this amazing product. When manufacturing our gelato fresh in store, once again we only use local produce wherever possible and minimise the use of artificial flavourings. We purchase our milk direct from our local dairy supplier Baffle Milk Dairies which allows us to make a far superior ice cream. We have won many awards at the Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show and genuinely believe that our product is world class. With our latest venture we have introduced a qualified nutritionist (Lauren Ree) to the business to offer a more complete service to our customers and to help with the education process of healthy eating. What gives us the most satisfaction in the business is to see the happiness in the faces of our customers enjoying the many lovely products we have in our store. This is our passion. Winter 2019 47
