Everything Good Glasshouse Mountains treasure trove of eclectic memorabilia is brimming with historical curios which give the place a unique charm that leaves one wanting to return. The Market Garden is located directly behind the shop and it is not uncommon for Neil or one of his team to quickly duck out the back to pick something they may have just run out of in store for a customer. As Neil says, “you can’t get fresher than that!” Freshly and organically grown Kale, Silverbeet, Chard, Shallots, Broccoli, Cauliflower and Snow Peas are just some of the crops Neil lovingly grows and tends. He also grows more unusual crops such as Yakon, Cassava, Yam, Rosella and Okra. Supporting the local growers is something Neil is very passionate about and he has long standing relationships with more than 45 local growers who deliver fresh produce daily. Everything Good branched into selling health foods, grains, flours, nuts, seeds, raw honey, chemical free, herbal teas and certified organic produce, so he You could say Neil Federer is living the dream! While many of us deal with traffic jams and long commutes to get to work, Neil takes a few steps from his dwelling through his own market garden and has arrived. A workday in the life of Neil is often spent laughing with staff and customers and nurturing seedlings until they are ready to be planted. Everything Good is as the name suggests full of local fruits and vegetables and a great assortment of health foods and natural and organic products. The roadside store could be mistaken for a rundown fruit store, but you would be wrong. This virtual 38 Complete Complete Health Health 38 didn’t have any need to leave the place. “I hate shopping, so now I just buy everything I need and want and luckily other people want those things too!” Neil jokes. It is not uncommon for customers to have to jump over puddles to get into the shop, and the lack of air conditioning means there are days when you have to sweat it out whilst doing your shopping, and other days when you shiver. Neil says his loyal customers are committed and whilst it may not be a destination for the faint hearted Everything Good enjoys the support from a growing number of diehard customers. Fun is the order of the day at Everything Good where conversation with staff and customers flows freely, as they share recipes, stories on what foods have helped them to overcome various health conditions, and of course the odd joke or two, laughter and chatter is encouraged. For Neil and his team they are rewarded when they see their customers smiling faces return time and time again.
