“Never give up on what
you really want to do. The
person with big dreams is more
powerful than the one with all
the facts.” - Albert Einstein
Elissa Scott is affectionately known as
“The T Lady”, but after a conversation with
her, I discovered there is a lot more to this
outstanding Australian than the tea leaves.
Inspired by a dream she had in 2016
Elissa felt compelled to learn more about
Menopause. For many women the prospect
of going through “the change” is enough to
leave you feeling hot and stressed out, but
Elissa approached the next stage of her life
with a cool and calm head.
Tirelessly researching natural
alternatives to help relieve menopause
symptoms she was determined to create and
bring to life a certified organic caffeine free

natural tea to help women throughout the
world.
As with many inventors Elissa
experienced her fair share of frustrating
setbacks. After deciding on the right herbs
to use in her Menopause Tea - Hot Flush
Tea creation she bought seedlings and
planted them, but soon realised it would
be an agonisingly slow process waiting
for them to reach maturity. Undeterred
she bought more herbs and started making
them into tea concoctions and immediately
started getting relief from her menopausal
symptoms.
Elissa found a great ally in Kym Grant
proprietor of Austral Herbs who specialises
in importing and exporting herbs from his
business in Kentucky NSW. The quantities
Elissa would need to order to satisfy
the minimum order that Kym generally
commands were not within her reach or
more importantly budget, so Kym relaxed his
usual criteria allowing Elissa to purchase the
herbs to start making her tea bags.
The packaging of the teas is done by
Elissa but it is her dream that in the near
future she will be able to help support
disadvantaged women and have them
package the tea which will help them
financially.
Paying it forward is not a new concept
for this philanthropic entrepreneur and her
original thought was to help raise funds for
Breast Cancer research through the sales
of her tea, but it was another dream that
changed her mind and direction.
Elissa recalls a dream where she saw
a lady standing by her bed, her recollection
is vivid. The lady had red hair and piercing
blue eyes and she said to her that she
