The North Queensland Floods
The devastation from the recent
North Queensland floods will be felt
long after the mud and debris has been
cleaned up.
Called the once in a century
monsoonal deluge the people of
Townsville and surrounding areas are
not only reeling from the loss of their
personal belongings and memorabilia,
but many have also found themselves
not covered by their insurance.
Add to this the threat of deadly
bacterial outbreaks and it is little
wonder that many of us have felt
compelled to help.
Supplier partners EnviroCare Earth
from Western Australia generously
donated vast quantities of Cleaning
supplies. St Dalfour have donated large
quantities of their Ready to Eat French
Bistro Gourmet to Go meals, and Go
Natural donated bars and snacks. CHP
have donated Pallets of Canned foods,
Sanitisers and Bamboo wipes.
Freight Company Hi-Trans also
subsidised our freight costs to get our
donations to Townsville.
When disaster strikes it can bring out
the best in human behaviour by opening
our hearts and motivating us all to help
out.
