operating?
We have been owned by the Drakes
SUPERMARKETS group now for 6 years,
Previous to that we were owned by the
Stephens & Cornett’s group
Who are your main types of customers?
We have a diverse customer base, From
Elderly to Young Families also we see
some South Africans, New Zealanders
& Brazilians who work at the local
abattoirs
What is it about your store that
is distinctly different from other
supermarkets?
Our diverse range of products to cater
for all needs & and our customer service,
we are very popular in our community
for our outstanding customer service…
All our staff are trained to be customer
service focused and our staff will
drop everything to serve our waiting
customers.
What are the changes in peoples buying
habits you have noticed over the past
couple of years?
People are buying more health concisely
and we have seen a larger need for this
range. Also ready meal is a growing

category in our local area.
What are the fastest moving categories
within your store?
Fresh Meat is what we are more famous
for in our community, as we have an
outstanding range and our prices are
better than our competitors… We also
sell a lot of Soft drinks and Snack foods.
What trends do you predict over the next
twelve months?
Health food and prepared meals
continuing to improve in the market.
What made you decide to introduce
the natural health foods and wellness
products into your business?
The popular demand that we are now
seeing for this range

sector heading in the next couple of
years?
Growing and more demand

occur within the Natural Health and

To be more affordable.

We have an amazing team of staff here
at Glenmore and everyone has a good
attitude towards work.. The morale in
the store is always very positive which
make working pleasurable.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Like I said before; to be able to lead a
team of staff that are passionate about
their jobs and to make our store different
to our major competitors in the local
area.
