Gold Rush
The Claremont Club & Spa in Berkeley
When you see this hotel it comes as no surprise that it was
originally built to be a romantic castle at the beginning of
the Gold Rush. The Claremont Club & Spa in Berkeley
overlooks the San Francisco Bay, just 20 minutes from
downtown San Francisco, and is nothing short of breathtaking. Having recently celebrated its 100th Birthday, the
Claremont is a perfect mix of old world charm and modern California comfort. What made this dining experience
even more special was that we enjoyed all three courses in
three separate venues at the hotel. The culinary journey
began at the Hillary-Tenzing Room, a unique space with
Nepalese ornaments and artifacts, moving then to the
newly renovated private dining room, and finishing in the
Presidential Suite, with expansive views of the Bay.
