The Vision

As I look at Lot 55 from the window of my car , I wonder what will arise from the land a few years later . That is how we feel as Designers when we embark on any new project . We know there will be a completion date but the mystery is what will it look like at fruition . For me this is the most elating part of the process !!!! The “ what if ”. The part where the ideas start to flow and the “ what if ” starts to become reality . It all starts with interviewing the client , honing in on their specific wants and needs …. this is what sparks the designers vision . I started this project with an open mind bringing the ultimate in ideas and finishes to the client for their review and consideration . Sketches , paired with inspiration imagery and finishes such as marble , wood and glass . First we need to refine the shell . Next we look at furniture , lighting and artwork to finish off the space . Unique pieces of work that are customized such as the wine feature , custom photographic artwork or the large scale glass chandelier , are surprises once completed , as they are one of a kind and we do not typically prototype . Renderings , however , can offer the client a window into the unexpected . This particular project displayed all the elements of forward thinking design that will not date but rather take on a timeless position at lot 55 , now finished and completed for the homeowner to enjoy !
