Owner Patti Komara is one of the foremost authorities on gymnastics business, and she knows her staff has to give the
customer what they expect and more. Her experienced, loving staff teaches children ages walking-18 gymnastics, dance,
karate, cheer, and swim lessons. All-American also has the only fitness-based Gym-N-Learn Educational Preschool in
the area where kids ages 2-5 prepare for kindergarten and exercise daily instead of snacking.
Patti’s staff teaches students using curriculum and training materials here in Dyer that are also used by over 5,000
gymnastics school owners worldwide. Yes, gym owners around the globe count on Patti’s expertise to train their own
staff. They use Patti’s training DVDs, books, award systems, and lesson plans she has been creating and publishing since
1986 through her other company Tumblebear Connection.
With an atmosphere that encourages each student to strive for their personal best, Patti’s, the gym with a heart (as they
like to be known as), develops strong positive attitudes and goal orientated students while still having fun. They do this
through their “Star Achievement Award System” and positive reinforcement. The teachers know children learn quicker
when they are enjoying themselves. Former Patti’s All-American students have gone on to play in the WNBA, play
basketball for Big Ten Schools, ice skate in the Olympics, become a champion diver, win scholarships for gymnastics,
dance on Broadway, play football for colleges and professionally, dance in the Oklahoma City Ballet Company, cheer
at Purdue and Notre Dame, and excel in many others areas. Gymnastics and dance encourages good self-esteem and
self-worth.
From their gymnastics spring floor to their heated, in-ground, outdoor swimming pool, Patti’s is all about teaching in a
fun, safe, and friendly environment. Since the inception of her swimming lessons in 1986, Patti says, “We have taught
over 10,000 kids to swim. I am so proud of that!” It’s no wonder they have been voted #1 Gymnastics Facility in The
