Located in St. John, Indiana, Ambiance Your Home Your Story has
certainly been received well from the residents of St. John, as well as
surrounding towns, as a great destination store for new and trendy
Home Décor items which add the finishing touch to anyone’s
home. This store is a new choice in the region for the customer
who is looking for a specialty gift for the “hard to buy for” friend
or family member.
Since opening their doors in the fall of 2013, co-owners Jan LeVan
and Tina Hines are thrilled to be hearing good things from new
customers in the community. “We find it confirming to open a
new business when a customer says how excited they are to find
our store and discover home décor and gifts they have never seen
before,”says Hines. There is always something new to see and find
even though Ambiance Your Home Your Story has only been open
for 8 months.
All it takes is one step inside the new store, located in The Shops
of St. John Plaza at 9490 Wicker Avenue, to feel the excitement of
something new. Inspiration is found right away with the unique
display of merchandise on shipping pallets and interesting home
items even hanging from the ceiling - like a fishing pole and
paperweight fish dangling over the “lake and vacation” display.
Inspiration is the key to helping customers visualize our products
becoming a part of their home and their story.
The newest addition to this unique Home Décor and Specialty Gift
Store is the Baby Department. “I was excited to finally bring in
baby items,”says LeVan. The baby section is selling quickly for us
and keeps us searching for even more cute and adorable things. It’s
great for the customer who is looking to find the perfect gift for
their new mommy, friend, or even for those Grandmothers who
love to spoil family members.
“We actually met one of the designers of a baby line, Linda
Leciejewski, who designed the hand-painted bibs,” says Hines. It’s
always fun to get to know the artist, which is something both Jan
and Tina have found as a value. We like to tap into the local artist
industry and not only display but sell local artwork.
The staff is eager to help customers who walk in for the first time
or our regular customers that come in often to see what’s new. A
smiling face and friendly atmosphere are important to co-owners
Jan and Tina as they are looking forward to many years of shopping
at market to find just the right merchandise that keeps Ambiance
Your Home Your Story exc
