I’ve had parents get into a fight with
somebody in the parking lot and have
them walk in and it’s the director or the
casting director. I’ve seen that happen
as well. So be nice to everybody.

to be successful in this industry.

Don’t overly coach your kid. Don’t be
mean. We’ve seen it all happen.
How often do you see the parent actually ruin the opportunity for the kids?

parent go in and have a meeting with
one manager and told her “Yeah that
sounds great” and then went to go meet
with another manager without telling
the first manager that she wasn’t going
to sign and within a few minutes later,
we’re already calling going “how come
you didn’t tell, I didn’t realize…” And
she’s like “How did you know that?”
Well, everybody knows everbody. It is a
very, very small circle. And people talk.
Nothing gets past anybody. And once
you’re on the black list, it’s really hard
to back on [the good list].
