Eating Right Is Your Right by Madison Noelle In America, it is more common to be overweight than maintain a healthy one. Imagine how difficult it must be to be in the fame spotlight with the food choices at hand. On the way to a casting call or a photoshoot it is easiest to say “we will have fast food just this one time” or “we are running late and this is quick and easy.” Here are 7 easy steps to maintaining a healthy diet on a busy schedule, and how “fabulous” does not come in a greasy paper bag. 1 Pre planning is a wise idea. Plan out, purchase, and prepare most of your snacks and meals for the week on a lazy Sunday. You will be prepared for travelling to last-minute auditions during the rest of the week, and still be able to provide your child with the healthy nourishment they need to have a great audition! Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate! You may think soda or juice will give your child the most energy before a shoot. This is a hoax. Staying hydrated with water and the occasional glass of milk will keep your child on track and energized for the whole day. Staying hydrated also helps with healthy looking skin, hair, and nails! 3 2 The most important meal of the day. Breakfast, of course. In the morning it is important to start out with water, a protein, a whole grain, and a fruit. A balanced meal at the start of a new day can completely change a child’s mood, attitude, and outlook on their day, which makes a parental job a whole lot easier! Bringing your lunch is back in style! If a shoot is supposed to start in the middle of the day, and you are on the run, pre-pack some whole grain bread with a protein such as natural peanut butter and fresh jam.
