What to Watch: Gaming
We review the best new games, just in time for the holidays

In this month’s “What to Watch”
feature, we preview some of the hottest,
recently released video games. OK, maybe
it should be called “What to Play,” but
you get the idea.
“Red Dead Redemption 2”
Let’s get straight to the point with
this gem. I would give Rockstar $100
for this $60 game and tell them to keep
the change. That is how thankful I am
this is fi nally released. The game is
next-level and is an absolute master-
piece.
It is everything a next-generation
console should give to complement
a game. The graphics, the 60-hour
campaign (wow!) and, by far, the
smoothest handling of a game I have
ever experienced, will only increase
the reverence of this saga.
The longevity of this game is un-
imaginable. I honestly feel like one
person does not have all the time in
the world to complete every single
adventure. Nothing is left off the table.
Game of the Year, without any further
questions.

Marvel’s
“Spider-
Man”
No PlaySta-
tion 4? I feel
incredibly
sorry for you.
You’re miss-
ing out on
arguably the
best superhero
game to ever
release.
The game puts you right in the
shoes of New York’s webslinger, try-
ing his best to save the city he swears
to protect. There is so much right
about this game. It has a certain pull
that keeps you invested and wanting
to achieve 100% completion.

Let’s not forget that you can dress
Spidey up in one of about 25 different
suits to keep it fresh. Though the free
roam and main missions can seem
repetitive and tedious at points, the
astonishing story surpasses any griefs.
I’m not quite sure, but something
about this Playstation version of
Spider-Man reminds me of Tom Hol-
land and Tobey Maguire (best Spider-
Man, @ me) hybrid. I’m here for it and
any true
Spider-Man
fan should
love it.

“Call of
Duty:
Black
Ops 4”
The
fourth and
most recent
installment of Treyarch’s “Black Ops”
series is a breath of fresh air.
Some people, myself included,
believe that “Call of Duty” has been
“dead” for about fi ve years or so, with
“Black Ops 3” (released in 2015) being
P AG E 3
the last decent game. I felt a distur-
bance in the force as soon as this
game was announced, and my senses
have come to fruition. COD is back,
baby.
The zombies maps are straight-up
some of the best ever to be released,
Blackout is fun and not too close to
other battle royale games, and the
multiplayer is a very fair addition to
the series.
I think the call not to make a cam-
paign story and focus only on the
essentials of what people play was a
great decision by Treyarch. Hats off
for bringing my childhood back.

EA Sports “FIFA 19”
FIFA has maintained a great reputa-
tion in the gaming community for
being one of, if not the, best sports
games to play. I agree, as FIFA is one
of the few sports games I would play.
Nothing crazy to say about this one.
A good edition to an annually re-
leased game. A fair game with many
gratifying qualities. Ultimate team
is as fun as ever, and career mode is
making a solid name for itself.
