A Scorching Summer Slate The Chieftain’s guide to the best new movies and music Movies “Spider-Man: Far From Home” The next Marvel Cinematic Universe re- lease comes on the heels of what will be the highest-grossing fi lm ever, “Aveng- ers: Endgame.” It will be diffi cult to follow up Endgame, but Far From Home seems poised to impress. “The Lion King” This is another example of Disney’s lack of creativity and putting profi t above all else. Instead of using all the resources in the world to tell a new, innovative story, Disney heads back to the well and drags up an old IP. Don’t get me wrong, I love the star-studded cast, and the original was a masterpiece, but recreating an old hit that is sure to do well in the box of- fi ce at the expense of trying to create art doesn’t sit well with me. “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” This is probably the movie I have been most excited to see in my lifetime. Even more ex- cited than “The Force Awak- ens” and Endgame. Directed by the genius, Quentin Taran- tino (“Pulp Fiction,” “Inglorious Basterds”), and starring Leonardo B ROTHE R R I C E H I G H S C HO O L C H I E F TA I N DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, Once Upon A Time is a period piece set in Hollywood in 1969. The story follows Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth (Pitt) as they make their way through Hollywood. Tarantino and the cast make me ecstatic that this fi lm is making its way to the silver screen.
