A Scorching Summer Slate
The Chieftain’s guide to the best new movies and music
Movies
“Spider-Man: Far From Home”
The next Marvel Cinematic Universe re-
lease comes on the heels of what will be
the highest-grossing fi lm ever, “Aveng-
ers: Endgame.” It will be diffi cult to
follow up Endgame, but Far From Home
seems poised to impress.
“The Lion King”
This is another example of Disney’s lack
of creativity and putting profi t above all
else. Instead of using all the resources in
the world to tell a new, innovative story,
Disney heads back to the well and drags
up an old IP. Don’t get me wrong, I love
the star-studded cast, and the original
was a masterpiece, but recreating an old
hit that is sure to do well in the box of-
fi ce at the expense of trying to create art
doesn’t sit well with me.
“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”
This is probably the movie I have been
most excited to see in my lifetime. Even
more ex-
cited than
“The Force
Awak-
ens” and
Endgame.

Once Upon A Time is a period piece set
in Hollywood in 1969. The story follows
Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth
(Pitt) as they make their way through
Hollywood. Tarantino and the cast make
me ecstatic that
this fi lm is
making its
way to the
silver screen.

Special to the Chieftain
The summer of 2019 is proving to be
one of the most jam-packed seasons in
terms of entertainment that we’ve seen
in a while. This summer, there is a little
bit for everyone in terms of the scope of
genres and types of entertainment being
released. Without further ado, these are
the can’t-miss experiences for summer:
of all time. No discography in hip-hop is
close to his in terms of consistency and
quality. He graced us with “Ye and Kids
See Ghosts” last summer, and Yahndi
has been rumored to release since No-
vember 2018. Kanye surely will continue
his great run
on top with
this one.
