The Best Christmas Music
Take a tour with the Chieftain listening to the top Holiday tunes

You’re riding in the car on Christ-
mas Eve on the way to Secret Santa
with your family and Bing Crosby
slowly makes his way from 100.3 FM
through the car speakers and soothes
all ears with an absolute Christmas
classic, “White Christmas.”
This Christmas staple doesn’t just
soothe your ears, it sets the tone for
the entire night by putting you in a
Christmas spirit like no other. You
get to Secret Santa at your cousins’
house and “Have Yourself a Merry
Little Christmas” (Michael Buble’)
graces you on the way in the door.
At this point, you’re fi red up to see
the boys and open up some presents,
as well as devour that Christmas
dinner you’ve been waiting for since
Thanksgiving.
After opening presents, “All I Want
for Christmas Is You” (Mariah Carey)
comes on, and it’s a madhouse. You’re
concerned
for your own
safety, but
you’re so
fi red up for
Christmas
you don’t
even care.

Another song that you can’t get
through Christmas Day without is,
without a doubt, “Santa Claus Is
Coming to Town.”
Although the original by Fred
Astaire is incredible, Mariah Carey’s
rendition just gets you going. Then
again, every Christmas song rendi-
tion by Mariah Carey is fl awless.
Anyway, Mariah comes on the
speaker when you’re just beyond
fi red up for Santa. Go ahead, tell me
Santa isn’t real.
I don’t care, because I’m too fi red
up.
Christmas songs never let us
down. It’s impossible to get sick of
them.
songs are mentioned in this little sce-
nario, but I want to go through two
more all-timers. One is, “Let It Snow!
Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” by the legend,
Dean Martin. Waking up and hearing
this on Christmas morning is an incom-
parable feeling. You’re sitting around
the Christmas tree with your family,
opening presents, and there’s nothing in
the world that can get in the way of the
joy you’re experiencing. On top of that,
Dean Martin, who has the voice of Jesus,
is letting loose through the speakers and
transcending the Christmas spirit that’s
already present. Dean Martin, thank you
for gracing the world with your golden
