Autumn Tints Cruise to Bucklers Hard - by David Roberts
On Saturday 1st October eight boats bravely sailed off for Bucklers Hard with a forecast of challenging conditions .
The cruise there had everything from light winds and sunny spells to torrential rain and gusts of over 30 knots , so it was an interesting sail .
Fortunately , the weather settled in time for the pontoon party held just before sunset .
Some crews ate at the Master Builder , while others ate on board , but we all ended up in the Master Builder for drinks in front of a roaring fire . On Sunday we enjoyed settled weather , sunshine , and a north-westerly breeze which enabled us to have a very pleasant sail home .
It was a pleasure having new members on Wandering Star , Kerry Dancer and Rascallion join us and we hope we ' ll see plenty more of them on next year ' s cruises .
