Firstly, thank you to
everyone who attended
the Club’s AGM for
voting me into the role
of Rear Commodore (House) and Chairman of
the Member Services Committee.

Planning for our 2017 programme is reaching
its final stage. We have a very exciting and
active programme planned for next year,
especially celebrating our 50th Anniversary. We
are planning a special collectors’ version of the
Club Programme.
It is one of the General Committee roles I have
never had so I am looking forward to the
challenge. I am usually at the club several days But of course we still have several activities
during the week so do come up to me and say planned for the rest of 2016. We have a special

At the AGM I outlined a number of initiatives for
2017. I am keen to build on our relationships
with our functions’ business partners and our
Corporate Partners to bring additional benefits
to CYC members.
In addition, we have been talking with Premier
Marinas to work in partnership to develop
training courses for yachts and motors, with
discount for Club members.
Finally, I would like to announce the launch of
our new Winter Menu, which will start on 9th
November. Thanks to the hard work of Manu
and head chef Andy, we now have an exciting
range of dishes to suit all pockets and
occasions. Do come and sample our delights.
Hope to see you soon at the Club.
We also announced that we would like to
establish more Special Interest Groups within
the Club, such as Book and Art Groups, a
Computer Group or even a “Land Cruising”
Group. Watch out for more announcements
