Hopefully by now you will all have put the dates in your diary for this unique and exciting weekend in the history of our Club .
Planning for the series of events is now well under way so I thought this month I would share with you more details of the weekend and also indicate where we would like your assistance .
Friday 28th April – The Gathering
Friday evening will have a gold themed Quiz Night .
This will be building on our very popular Quiz Nights which we started this winter . So time to dig out those thinking caps .
We are hoping to rekindle memories of past eras and are asking members with classic cars to bring them to the Club to show them off .
We are also hoping we can source some classic dinghies as well .
We will also be hosting the Commodores from other Harbour Clubs for lunch so it will be a great opportunity to show off our wonderful Club .
The day will finish with a 60s themed evening with retro food , dancing and games . So dig out those old clothes from the back of the wardrobe .
Sunday 30th April – Trip Down Memory Lane
For the Sunday morning we are planning to run a Story-Telling session where we would like members to share some of their experiences of the Club over the last 50 years .
So if you have a story you would like to tell then do let us know in the office and we will add your name to the list . We are also hoping people will add to the stories on the day to make it an interactive session .
We would also like to construct a visual history of the Club over the last 50 years , so if you have any old photographs we would like to hear from you .
