The Canoe Club run paddling sessions from
CYC most Friday evenings during the spring
and summer months. They occasionally use
the canal when the tide is too low at the Club
so if you want to join them, please make sure
you are on their mailing list so you are kept
informed of their whereabouts. They also
need to know that you are safe on the water
and are able to demonstrate a certain level of
competence before letting you go off.
They will offer CYC members a two-hour
introduction session for £15 to include coach
and all equipment. If you wish to join their
sessions and don’t have any equipment, they
will also offer discounted CCC membership to
CYC members and thus continue benefiting
from their coaching, trips and use of

Your Commodore and I went on a “road trip”
at the end of May to central London to collect
some furniture offered to us by one of our
dinghy member who is relocating his offices.
Thanks to our generous donor,
there is now a fabulous leather
sofa in the bar alongside a new
coffee table. We also collected
some acoustic panels which will
be fitted in due course, new
office furniture and a statement
picture on loan.
