December’s Artist — Lydia
Cunningham
Lydia always knew she wanted to be an artist.
She took an HND and MA in
computer animation becoming
a Motion Graphics Artist. In
2016 she won a BAFTA for her
part directing the video for the
Queen’s 90th birthday
celebration live show.
Now she paints. "There is so
much beauty where we live,
the South Downs are famous for the rolling hills,
lush green countryside, great oaks - the sea
and Weald - busy harbours and beautiful sandy
beaches. Now was a perfect time to be inspired
by it all and its wonderful
wildlife." She makes her living
through painting but it is her
passion.
