Following on from his talk last February , we are delighted to welcome back Andrew Negus for Part 2 of his lecture on the History of Portsmouth .
We shall see how two Napoleons force the creation of world class defences around Portsmouth , and force the Dockyard to become the greatest factory in history .
The Press Gang , Nelson , a gentle cobbler and an actress of mighty repute will tell their stories .
Australia will be founded by rascals , two new towns appear , and many poorer folk disappear as Britain gains the largest empire in history .
