Hello everyone , quite cold outside but some lovely bright days and smooth waters if you decide to venture out in your boats .
Last month I appealed for volunteers to help with the Dinghy Snowflake Series . I decided I would see what I could do and spent the last race day on Cyclone raising flags and calling out boat numbers as they crossed the finish line . Some very close together !
If you have never been involved in helping run a race I can thoroughly recommend it . It is fun and is an eye opener on how the dinghies run these events .
A few more volunteers are still needed for the remaining races so why not contact Dinghy Rear Commodore Mark Green and see what it is all about .
We also had a great Burns Night evening . Chef Andy was very sorry to run out of haggis so soon . Last year he only sold five portions !! The band and caller were excellent and my legs are still aching .
We have more events ahead so do come down to the club and join in these fun socials and events .
We are looking for members with memories of the club over the last 50 years to support our 50th celebrations .
If you would like to do a short presentation to fellow members with some photos about your memories , please contact the office or Rear Commodore House Tony Mobbs .
Premier Marinas are tightening up on car parking all over the marina . They ask that you all display a CYC sticker in your car windscreen so you don ’ t get challenged . Thanks for your co-operation over this .
Thank you everyone who has already renewed subscriptions . However , if you have missed the early bird offer for your subscription you can still make savings by transferring to monthly direct debit .
