Golden Jubilee Weekend
28th April – 1st May
In March we passed a significant
milestone in the history of the Club. On
26th March 1967 at the Egremont Club
Mr Bransby Williams proposed the
formation of a members’ club to be
known as Chichester Yacht Club.
The meeting also proposed setting up a
General Committee to run the Club
which consisted of:
► Mr Bransby Williams (Commodore)
► Sir Geoffrey Todd (Vice
Commodore)
► Mr Hoolahan (Hon Secretary/ Hon
Treasurer)
► Mr Glassborow (Sailing Section)
► Mrs TD Payne (Sailing Section)
► Mr EW Cuff-Miller (Motor Cruising
Section)
► Mr V Farrant (Dinghy Section)
► Mr AL Emmerton (Dinghy Section)
► Mrs Spenser (Social Organiser)
We all owe a great debt of appreciation
to these pioneers who helped to
establish the foundations of the Club
that we know today.
