Commodore Robin Hamilton I hope you have been into the Club recently and seen the amazing job the team has done in the restaurant. As well as the new furniture and wall mounted jack staff to display the burgees, you may not have realised that the bain marie, from which you collect your food, has also been replaced. The old one was falling to pieces and had stopped working. We will also be replacing our sweet cabinet with a new model in the first week of April. Last but not least, a new barista-style coffee machine has made its sensational debut, producing great hot coffee but at a much quicker output. If you haven’t done so already, do try it as you won’t be disappointed. I had the very nasty and not well known medical condition PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) over the last five years. It finally burnt out in June last year, which allowed me to agree to put myself up for election as Commodore. This charity supports people affected by this condition and funds research.
