Making Dreams Come True
at the Library

T

he first time Maria Teresa Haro
visited the Library, she was not
able to communicate with anyone. Frustrated, she did not return for
several weeks. Then, one day at church,
Maria learned about the programs the
Library offers to Spanish speakers,
and that evening, she decided to come
back. Now, nearly a year and a half later,
Maria is eager to tell people how she is
realizing her dreams at Sedona Public
Library.
Maria’s dream has always been to
learn English, so she began attending
the Library’s English as a Second Language class. Her first impression of the
program was positive—the class was informative and enjoyable, and her classmates were friendly. She kept coming to
