Sunday Cinematheque at the Chazen : Music By John Williams
In a career spanning over six decades , John Williams has established himself as the bestknown movie music composer of all time . This series takes us from Williams ’ jazzy origins in 1960s comedies and capers to his iconic orchestral scores for some of the biggest blockbusters from the 1970s onward , including several key pairings with Williams ’ most celebrated collaborator , director Steven Spielberg .
The 160-seat Chazen auditorium is equipped for 16mm and 35mm film as well as digital and high-definition projection . The Sunday Cinematheque film series runs September through mid-May and features films and shorts curated by Cinematheque director Jim Healy . The free screenings are at 2 p . m . In consideration of the audience , no one is admitted after 2:15 p . m .

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom screens March 12 at 2 p . m . in the Chazen Auditorium .
The Chazen presents chamber music performances in Brittingham Gallery III at 12:30 p . m . on the first Sunday of the month except in January . All concerts are free and open to the public , but seating is limited . Chazen Museum of Art members may call 608-263-2246 before 4 p . m . on the Friday preceding the concert to reserve seating .
