Giving Back STUDENTS CONNECTING IN LOCAL COMMUNITY At GGGA, building strong character is a the heart of what we believe to be important in junior athlete and community service is an important part of our program. Giving back provides a sense of self-fulfillment. We want students to experience this so GGGA students must complete a minimum of twenty-five hours of community service annually. Throughout the school year, we offer many opportunities for students to help the local community. GGGA house parent, Kassi Bravo, coordinates volunteer activities and attends all volunteer activities with students. In November, Special Olympics Florida hosted the 2018 Unified Champion Schools Basketball Tournament at The Big House in Tavares, Florida. GGGA students volunteered and worked in shifts throughout the two-day tournament. They kept track of the scorecard and the scoreboard during games. When not keeping score, students helped out by catching balls around the courts. In between games, students enjoyed playing on the unused courts. Thank you, Damian, Fran, Karen, Hanna, Harry, Kerry, Leo, Madeline, Arantza, and Tina for giving back!
