MEET THE CHAMBER STAFF
Name : Shawn Conrad Title : Executive Director How many years have you been with the Chamber ? 3.5 What is your role at the Chamber ? My role is to direct and oversee all operations and functions of the Chamber . However , in our small office we all wear multiple hats and our responsibilities interlace . We each have a role in every function of Chamber operations whether that be membership , events , marketing or administration . I am fortunate to have staff that understands the ‘ big picture ’ and how their role relates with and relies on someone else ’ s role . The Chamber Team , Marilyn , Justine and Chris , is amazing both professionally and personally and I count it a privilege to work with them each day . What is great about working for the Chamber ? I love working for the Chamber and I love the diversity of my job . I appreciate the opportunity I have to balance my need for organization , planning and order with my need to be ‘ out of the box ’ and creative . Most of all , I love the people ; the Staff , the Board , the Ambassadors , the Chamber members and of course , the community of which I am a proud part . Name : Marilyn Reiner Title : Events Manager and Chamber Foundation Liason How many years have you been with the Chamber ? 13 ! What is your role at the Chamber ? If I were to list of all of the things that I do at the Chamber , the list might sound boring : I schedule events , reserve spaces , obtain sponsors , track participants , work with members for ribbion cuttings , open houses , etc . What I really do is connect the Grove City Business Community to the Grove City Community through a variety of Chamber events . I work with businesses of all sizes to provide entertainment and education to the Grove City community . What can you help people with ? If you really know me , you know that I can help you figure out where to spend your money . Just kidding , kind of . What I can do is help your business get connected to the community through a vaiety of different avenues . I can help your children , employees or family get connected with resources to further their education at a reduced financial burden . I wear many hats and I am happy to help the Grove City Business Community . What is great about working for the Chamber ? I love working with the business community and providing events that bring businesses and the community together .
Name : Chris Seimer Title : Administrative Assistant How many years have you been with the Chamber ? 2.5 What is your role at the Chamber ? I help out with a lot of different things at the Chamber . I do basic bookkeeping , help members navigate our datebase , invoicing , answering the phones and more . There are a variety of different roles that I play , depending on the time of year and what events the Chamber have going on at the time . What can you help people with ? I am usually the voice you hear on the other end of the phone when you call . I can help you with paying your dues , questions about invoices , navigating our online datebase and more . What is great about working for the Chamber ? I enjoy working in Grove City . I love that our office promotes a fun and friendly atmosphere .
Name : Justine Buzalka Title : Marketing and Communications Manager How many years have you been with the Chamber ? 1.5 What is your role at the Chamber ? I do all things marketing . I create the Chamber marketing material , e-magazine , write articles for Grove City Living and more ! I work on Spotlight Business Videos , advertisements , membership information packets as well as help with Marilyn with promoting our events . What can you help people with ? I can help you with promoting your business . I can help you promote a job posting , hot deal or member-to member deal , acess discounted advertising opportunities in the Southwest Messenger , Columbus Dispatch , Town Money Saver and our very own Chamber Business Connection e-magazine . I can create short spotlight business videos that are promoted to our membership and to the Grove City community . What is great about working for the Chamber ? I love creating a network of people throughout the Grove City and Columbus area . I appreciate being able to have fun while still being at work !
