“We have teachers that enter as a classroom. There are a group of teachers that bring in artwork from their students and then we have individual students that come in and enter their own artwork,” She says. “It is unbelievable, the talent, especially when you get to the high school level, the high school ceramics are so professional.” Sharon explained that while she loves watching people win prizes – she’s almost always more astounded at how amazing some of the youth art can be. “I love seeing kids’ artwork. I love their excitement when they bring it in. I love getting artwork out there,” she says. “To me, it’s not about how good it is, it’s just the excitement of the kids having their artwork displayed, which is why I’ve started doing the preschool kids. It’s actually the kids, they are so exited when they come in to see it. To me, I think it’s just the coolest show.” CHAMBER BUSINESS CONNECTION 18
