Average water temperature on race day is 20 oC.
The Head Referee will call the swim a Wetsuit Allowed or Not Allowed based on water temperatures taken 1 hour before the start of the event.
HALF (Individual, Relay & AquaBike):
For events 1501 m and longer the following restrictions apply:
Age Group & Relay- forbidden at 24.6oC and above, mandatory at 15.9 oC and below
Pro- forbidden at 22oC and above, mandatory at 15.9oC and below
STANDARD:
For events up to 1500m the following restrictions apply:
Age Group - forbidden at 22oC and above, mandatory at 15.9oC and below
The swim start will have 3 wave starts:
Pro Men & Women Race Start 6:30 am
Age Group, Relay & AquaBike Half Start 6:40 am
Standard Race Start 8:00 am
