Innisfail
& District
Historical
Museum
The Innisfail & District Historical Museum promotes the preservation,
interpretation, and enjoyment of history. We have almost three acres in a
village setting with homes dating from 1897 to the 1940s all decorated
to fit the era they belong to. We also have the original train station from
Bowden, complete with living quarters, the drugstore and a soda fountain
from the era. Our Friday teas have displays of our artifacts and we are
teaching children the old-fashioned way of doing things through our
school programs and Kid’s Morning.

Kneehill
Historical
Museum
Come visit us here on the open plains intersected by wayfinding creeks
that drain into the Red Deer River, a place once known for buffalo hunts
and extensive grasslands, and now for productive fields supporting mixed
farming. Explore a museum founded by local historians with artifacts
from the First People, the European settlers and today’s pioneers. All
aboard the CN caboose, next to the 1917 Grand Trunk Pacific Station
House. The train once carried people as well as grain, coal, oil, and dairy
products from Calgary to Edmonton.
