Nestled in the picturesque Kneehill Valley lies the Village of Carbon. Founded in 1912, the unique village was home to a bustling coal mining industry. The local museum displays many interesting and factual accounts of the mining era as well as the development of ranching and as time progressed the cultivation of the rich soil, which brought many new settlers from U.S.A and Europe. A unique display also tells the story of the Carbon Murder Mystery; three murders in the early 1920s that to this very day have never been solved.
