By Richard James - - WHAT’S UPLIFTING? - Resident Spotlight: Daniel L. Rappaport “We must never lose sight of one thing. That it was all started by a Mouse.” - Walt Disney Here we are. In what has essentially become the modern day E.P.C.O.T., or, Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Not the theme park, but an actual city of the future was one of Walt Disney’s last dreams. He never lived to see either Celebration or Epcot built, but both are a testament to what he brought to the world. There is also a progressive art school called The California Institute of the Arts. Again, another dream of Walt’s that he never lived to see completed. It’s a place where all of the arts exist under one roof. They merge, coalesce and create new and inventive art forms. Of course, it is also the top animation school in the world. FOLLOW US ONLINE FOR OPENING INFO Please ‘LIKE’ our Facebook page to stay updated THERE’S NO BETTER PLACE FOR A CELEBRATION TO REMEMBER! This is where we “lay our scene”. Celebration resident Daniel L Rappaport both went to CalArts, and studied graphic and theatre design. To bring this all current, as of this month, Daniel has been accepted into the CalArts Expo. A showcase of work from both current students and alumni can be seen here: https://expo.calarts.edu/2020/ Being originally from Los Angeles, Daniel is extremely happy to have settled down in Celebration. In stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the big city, he finds it to be extremely quiet here, and thoroughly loves the Downtown area. Walt Disney is his number one mentor. While being near the company’s headquarters and the original Disneyland Resort park is truly an awesome experience, Walt Disney World is where his heart truly lies. It’s the excitement of it all - being on the cutting edge - as well as it being a model, in so many ways, for the rest of the world. Also, Epcot truly is his favorite theme park! Some of Daniel’s “claims to fame” are as follows: With over 25 years in the business behind him, he has worked on projects for such high profile studios as Disney, MGM and Fox. He is the recipient of the Leica Photographie International Master Shot Gallery Acceptance, and also worked on the film Wild, which went on to receive two Academy Award Nominations. In keeping with this futuristic spirit, which drives him forward on a daily basis, Daniel has created a company that sells and markets epic, fantasy Apple Books, music and merchandise. The company is called Pazzaria Productions. Its mission statement reads: Everything that a guest would see, eat, buy, touch, do, wear, and so on, all has to do with their own personal adventure within our world. More information can be found here: http://www.pazzaria.com. As this interview concluded, Daniel asked to spread good wishes to all readers and residents, so that they stay safe during this very difficult time. He looks forward to seeing you at either a future Art and Wine Walk or Downtown Farmer’s Market! BIRTHDAYS, BABY SHOWERS, BACHELORETTE PARTIES & MORE! The Shoppes at Celebration Place 6266 W.
