The Duchess of Cornwall Inn reflects the locations , characters and enthusiasms that have shaped this very English family . It conveys their dedication to the craft of brewing , the kindness of genuine hospitality and an ambition to push the boundaries of both with just a pinch of British eccentricity .
Within The Duchess of Cornwall Inn you will find different areas which evoke a country house . The ground floor will host our Pantry and Bar evoking a casual , drop-in , pot luck ethos , the Dining Room on the second floor will focus on classically simple British food , reliable standard dishes that everyone wants to eat , not an elaborate restaurant . To top it all there are 3 floors of stunning bedrooms representing three themes of Georgian England ; Gentility ( Jane Austen ), Mercantilism ( Charles Hall , our founder ) and the Sea ( Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy ).
