21 “Since graduating from UNSW, I have had the privilege of working for the Aboriginal legal service located on my traditional land. I completed a PhD and was also an academic at Southern Cross University for nearly 20 years. But my most challenging and rewarding occupation is raising three intelligent, sensitive and creative children.” “The NSW public sector continues to benefit from more than a few UNSW Aboriginal Law graduates.” “Coming from the far north coast, a city university was a big deal for me. UNSW Law’s electives focusing on human rights were my light on the horizon. My best memory is the European Law Students Association International Trade Law Moot, when my team mate and I spent three days and nights finalising our submissions!” “My graduation is my most enduring memory of UNSW, with my mum, nan and extended family. It reflects my family’s strength in supporting me and the Law Faculty’s commitment in supporting and recognising Aboriginal people in Law. I now work as a senior solicitor at Legal Aid NSW in the Aboriginal Services Branch.” Dr Loretta Kelly BA LLB (1997) Gumbaynggirr and Dungutti woman Anthony Seiver LLB (2005) Eloise Schnierer BA LLB (2006) Torres Strait and Australian South Sea Islander Emma Langton BA LLB (2009) Yaegl
