On tHE
Day
Our friendly and
professional staff
look forward to
sharing this special
day with you.
It is not unusual
for the bride and
groom to be nervous
on the day of the
wedding. It helps to
know what to expect
on the day itself,
so hopefully this
information will help
ease your mind…
11
Arrival
It is very important for you and
your guests to arrive in good time,
at least 15 minutes earlier than
the time of your marriage. This
will allow you to be interviewed
before the ceremony and for
your guests to be seated. The
Registrar will see the bride and
groom privately, either together
or separately, to check details and
final arrangements.
Flowers
Our ceremony rooms are tastefully
decorated. You may, however, wish
to have or make your own floral
arrangements. Please discuss this
with the Superintendent Registrar.
Music
A Music system/CD player is
provided in our Register Office
with a selection of suitable music.
If, however, you have a favourite or
meaningful piece you wish to have
played, please discuss it before
the day with the Superintendent
Registrar.
Witnesses
The law requires that you are
accompanied by at least two
witnesses, who should be over 18
years of age. They may be relatives,
friends or colleagues who must
be able to speak and understand
English.
