A civil ceremony can take place at a venue
licensed by the local authority or in a
Register Office of your choice.
In Buckinghamshire, we have almost
80 licensed venues to choose from,
providing beautiful and stunning settings
for civil marriages, civil partnerships and
celebratory ceremonies.
Preparing for your wedding day is exciting
with so many choices available. You
may just want a small wedding with a
simple ceremony, or you may want a
theme to take account of the history and
architectural style of the venue you have
chosen. Perhaps you see yourself dressed
in 18th Century style or maybe you see
your guests enjoying the reception on the
terrace of a country house.
Once you have chosen your venue and
made a provisional booking you need to
contact us to check the Registrars are
available on the day and at the time you
want. It is essential you do this before
making any other arrangements.
